Views Around & About "A Li'l Bit of Heaven" Guest Cabins... Wildlife abound, including elk, deer, coyote, bear, wolf, moose, eagle, mountain lion and mountain sheep. Spring and winter are when we see the greatest number of wildlife up close, however, autumn is a lovely time to take hikes to the higher country to see, not only the colors that are displayed by the works of the frost, but to see elk, deer and moose during the mating season and often hear the wonderful calls that they each make in trying to lure the females! Several of our guests have had the thrill of hearing wolves howl and elk bugling just up from the cabin when all is so quiet at night that the sound of your own breathing is the only noise.

The Bitterroot River is five miles away. Brown, Rainbow and Native Trout all call it home. The Big Hole and Salmon Rivers are 35 minutes away and provide great fishing as well as rafting, canoeing and kayaking. Mountain sheep frequent the canyon along Highway 93 about 7 miles north of us, often stopping traffic with their majestic unconcern. Elk, moose and bear can often be seen on the ranch and in the surrounding area...
